The difference is 2-5%. That's it. Don't believe anyone who says it means everything...they obviously haven't benched it or own peculiar hardware.

2T all the way...allow for more MHz

if you are running at speeds/timings that allow for 1T I'd run 1T just because there is a slight performance increase over 2T. however, if you are OC'ing or running a config that won't allow 1T then 2T is definately the way to go. You can always run memtest86 to check for stabiltity.

but yeah, w/ my mobo I can only run 1T up to a htt of about 240Mhz, but I can go all the way up to 350Mhz w/ 3T. currently I'm running it at 260Mhz which gives me DDR520 much better than DDR480 w/ 1T

How many sticks are you using? Are you running dual channel?
I have yet to see a system even post while attemping to run 1t with dual channel or running single channel but had four 512 sticks installed.

That doesn't mean there aren't any, but if they do I would bet the RAM would be very expensive.

i would run your max speed at 1t and 2t and do some tests, then use the setting that does better. Its not always 1t slower speed is better than 2t higher speed.

At the moment im running 2.5,3,3,5,10 1t 1.85v with a 333 divider @285 fsb with no problems . And if i drop to 2T i lose a lot of figures in benchies .!t is the way to go for speed but if your RAM and o/c wont let you run 1t with those tight timmings Then go to 2t and up the fsb to make up for it

On my AMD box, I noticed a huge improvement at 1T. But I also have noticed that if you're running cheap RAM, you may run into stability issues. My ValueRam forced me to use 2T, but when I got some Ballistix, 1T ran great. I run the FSB of that machine at 176MHz I believe at 2-2-2-6-1T and get great results.

The difference is in benchmarks really. You won't notice much when playing a game or running any other applications.
