Suggestions for a new build?

Thread Starter
I'm am building a computer for a local hotel where I live and I need some suggestions. It's going to be used in the hotel lobby by the customers staying there. So it it will only be running basic Office applications, internet/e-mail, etc.. Price range is around $800 and less excluding the monitor, keyboard/mouse. I was thinking of a P4 630, DDR2 5300 RAM, a FX5500. At least thats what I have in mind so far.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

You don't need a P4 630 or a FX5500 for that kind of application! Onboard graphics will do fine. I would even say that a P4 530 is over doing it.

Yeah you definitely don't need to spend $800 on that.

You could always say it cost $800, and keep the remainder.

I know it doesn't need a 630 or the 5500...but I was just trying to get it up to around $800. This is what I'm looking at now...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813127201 or
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813135171 for the MOBO
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819116235 for the CPU
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820141212 or
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231011 for RAM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822144414 for the HDD
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827106995 or
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827152058 for the optical drive
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811200004 for the case
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817103935 for the PSU.

Like I said before, I was trying to reach the budget so I threw in parts that aren't necessary for this computers use. But, I think It's going to have to last them a while. So that's another reason. Um, with that aside...what would be a good and descent labor charge?
