http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115005

Its HSF has a better quality and cooling than the E5300 one so swap them to reach higher OC with the E5300

I'd like to say my temps are amazing for a cheap@ss $12 cooler.
damn, you should push your cpu harder if you're getting those load temps.

im getting similar response out of mine but i cant push fsb to 280. it just will not go.

the only setting i havn't touched up to try getting over the 277 mark is the manual ram timings in the bios, i have mine set to enable the DRAM timing to be set by SPD. if i were to manually tune these settings would i try taking latency down a notch or something.

but yer need a new mobo. i think then it should piss all over 3.6.

is it likely to get an fsb wall tied to a particular chip. (if i get a p5n-d will i be able to hit 300 or 333Mhz) or is it just gonna get to 277tops.

YEWW!!

How far over my RAM clock , do you guys think it's safe to go? At 300 FSB Im at 800, which is stock for my RAM. 2.66 is the lowest multiplier I have for RAM.

most PC2-6400 (800) DRAMS can do 900-950Mhz maximum with a slight bump to the voltage like a +0.1v-0.2v

just push to 333fsb and lower your multiplier. every 800mhz ram can handle it without increase in voltage.

Will do, I only clock it up when Im playing my game, so it's not going to be a 24/7/365, situation.

And thanks guys.

The best stable overclock i managed to get is:

CPU 3211Ghz
FSB 247Mhz
Multiplier 13
BIOS CPU v 1,35
CPU-Z v 1,32
Prime95 CPU v 1,312
Ideal Temp 36C
100% Load Temp 60C
CPU PLL v 1.5
NorthBridge v 1.25
SouthBridge v 1.55
DRAM v 1.8
DRAM Speed 495Mhz
FSB Strap to NB AUTO

Any other combination like lowering the Multiplier and raising the FSB more than 247Mhz always resulted in Blue Screen Crashes when running Prime95/IntelBurnTest no matter how much cpu voltage i added (max bios value i gave was 1,3625V).

Is this the limit this cpu can achieve or i've done something wrong in my OC settings?

Anyway even at 3,2Ghz i am satisfied with the performance of my pc.
Games run noticeably faster than before and at higher graphic levels which is what i wanted.
Plus that now i can utilize all 4GB of RAM i have installed since this ASUS MB supports Memory Hole Remap.
