Hi, im back, well I change my crap MB (Asus P5KPL-AM-SE), for an cheap Gigabyte GA-G41 Combo-F1, but this have so many items to OC. I really dont know how do it.
Few days ago, I try to get 3,8Ghz. and the system not boot (my mistake). Dram clock is one section, Cpu clock another, Dram timings and finally the voltages.
I need some help to set the correct voltages (if needed)
I'm not in home rigth now but this afternoon i will connected if you need more information.

Any other combination like lowering the Multiplier and raising the FSB more than 247Mhz always resulted in Blue Screen Crashes when running Prime95/IntelBurnTest no matter how much cpu voltage i added (max bios value i gave was 1,3625V).

Is this the limit this cpu can achieve or i've done something wrong in my OC settings?

Anyway even at 3,2Ghz i am satisfied with the performance of my pc.
Games run noticeably faster than before and at higher graphic levels which is what i wanted.
Plus that now i can utilize all 4GB of RAM i have installed since this ASUS MB supports Memory Hole Remap.
you are running your DRAM @ 495 (990Mhz) so maybe thats the reason why you can't go any higher on the FSB, see if your MB supports a lower memory multiplier to get your DRAM speed near 800Mhz

welcome back mate, you should know that 3.8Ghz is very hard to get stable using the stock Intel cooler

as a general rule 3.6Ghz is the max stable speed you can get with the E5300 without a decent cooler

also, i checked your MB overclocking options and they are exactly what i have so go to the first page of the thread then first post and check out the settings that worked for me, try some out and see if they are stable and always make sure that your DRAM speed doesn't exceed 800Mhz by much

Ok, Tanks Omari, as always you are right, I gonna try later. but remember i have a bigger heatsink with copper core and very low temps even at full load.
Wait for some news tomorrow...

Hey sdgo, just a reminder, tho you have probably done this. Chipset drivers etc. I got changing boards back and forth and was just using the drivers off of the disc that came with my mobo, and just flat forgot to update all that.

At which point all my OC problems went away.

Good luck buddy.

Ok, I tried your second option in the first page and it works fine, i remember a few months ago when you tell me what my limit of 280mhz came from the prossesor (97% sure), well with this mobo i put 300mhz and works very stable. i'm happy now.
Let you a cup images.

Tank you Omari and after this I want more!!!
Watch the temps 53ºc 100% load @ 3,6Ghz. is great (I change the termal paste for a better new one)

the core temperatures you are getting are great, you should be able to reach 4Ghz+ speeds 100% stable with that copper core HSF

an easy configuration for 4Ghz that will keep you DRAM at exactly 800Mhz is FSB 333
Multiplier 12
MCH latch 333
System memory multiplier 2.40B

CPU voltage needed is unknown to me so you have to try it out yourself just remember that the max safe voltage for a wolfdale CPU is 1.3625v, you can go higher up to 1.45v but anything over 1.3625 may damage the CPU and anything over 1.45 may fry its transistors

oh and one more thing, the faster the FSB speed the faster is your CPU and general system performance

for example

3.5Ghz (350x10) is faster than 3.5GHz (333x10.5) which in turn is faster than 3.5Ghz (13 x 270)
