I think im gonna need water or a damn good air cooler if im going to make a run for those clocks, specially with this processor. Thing needed 1.5v just to boot at 4.2. tried to IBT it... hehe, lasted all of 15 seconds before BSOD. CPU-Z didnt read the voltage right, it was at 1.5v. The setting in bios was at 1.55v, but apparently this board applies a voltage about 500mV lower than what has been selected that is out of the VID range.

I recently changed my 2 gigs of DDR2 800, for 4 gigs of DDR2 667, as I am poor and had it on hand. Also I had my roomate offer me Windows 7 64bit, to use if I like.

So I installed the 667, adjusted the clock on my board, due to mem multi limitations etc, and settled for a 250 FSB with the old 13 cpu multi,2.66 ram multi, giving me a 3.25 CPU clock, and no OC on the RAM, which I had tested exstensively in the past, before going with the ddr2 800 and a different clock (better benchs)

Anyway, the 667 OC worked just fine, under XP 32bit. So far so good. I checked for any bios updates also, and no problem, ran this for a week.

SO I go ahead and get the drivers for the upcomming 7 install. I then Install 7 64bit. And everything is cool, until all of a sudden after a day of updating and gamming, suddeny, my board won't hold any O.C.

Thoughts? PS I havent OC'd anything for a few months, what am I missing? IDK double checked everything

PS this is on my E-SOUP rig as listed

OK Update, had taken my second HD and diverted Page File to it. On a lark, I just now "un did" that and removed the extra HD. Now back to being able to OC. I am worried , however that I may be at the end of my PSU, as I cant imagin the Page File, hampering an OC, but I can imagin the power draw from and extra HD hampering it, if a PSU is about to crap out.

Again, Thoughts?

Yeah got all the drivers before install, as well as Bios just to be safe, and put them in first thing, Like I said the OC is now working after taking out the second HD and returning Page File to main HD.

Having never used Windows 7 before, I did some reading, and found info stating that running page file on a second hard drive, would help performance, I didnt see any.
I did see my OC go poof.

I just dont understand how that would effect the OC, at this point, but who knows.
