but its important that you leave nothing
on Auto, except for DRAM timings if you want
you mentioned the CPU v jumping to 1.6v, well i don't want to sound pessimistic but you may've already damaged your CPU because even 1.5 is considered too much for a 45nm CPU...also..you probably got a blue screen because you reached the Tj max at this insane voltage and the system shutdown/restarted
