Yes, i figured you are running a very low FSB, but your major problem is your DRAM configuration, you need to a 1GB or 2GB(recommended) of the same

1- type
2- Brand
3- Serial number
4- speed

as the 800Mhz PC2-6400 one you already have, If you don't, then your DRAM will work in flex mode and not Dual channel mode (Flex mode being an inferior alternative to DC mode)

This should get you from your score of 2208 to my score of 2884 (sine you and i have the same G41 NB) so you should get around 30% boost in performance from the FSB speed increase and the DRAM DC mode combined

Agreed , he should get a 2GB stick of the same

1- Brand
2- Speed
3- Timing
4- Serial number
5- Size

like what i have:

1- Brand: Kingston
2- Size: 2x2GB
3- Speed: PC2-6400
4- Serial number: KVR800D2N6/2G
5- Timing: 6-6-6-18 CL6

100% compatibility is whats needed for a 100% active DC mode

then i assume that your First 2GB 800Mhz is also a Kingston brand right?

just make sure that the 2GB you are going to buy should be identical in:

1- Brand
2- Speed
3- Timing
4- Serial number
5- Size

To the 2GB PC2-6400 (800Mhz) DRAM that you already have

not any direct role, but if you go to a seller and give him the same serial number/code of your DRAM it will be very easy for him to get you the exact Brand and specs again, instead of searching for a different brand wilth slightly different specs,

An exact match is always the best
