Been running prime95 (small FFT for max temp) for 16+ hours at 4ghz (334x12). been stable so far, but are my temps too high?

70C avg temp (over 16 hour span) with a max temp of 75C

voltage in bios set to 1.525 (still trying to find the lowest for 4ghz on air i can run)
cpu-z reports 1.456V when both cores are loaded 100%.

term voltage is at 1.4

Don't care of it dies a year from now, but don't want to kill it right now; it's only a $60 chip.

i could put another fan into the case. got only 1 fan case...
i'll go for higher in a day or two. i tried 10*333 with that volt so i know i could do little more.
however for volt my board only allows 5% 10% & 15% so not much choice.

the temp is a bit on the high side but the voltage will make short work of your CPU, could be a year, a month a week

If you had better cooling i wouldn't care about the voltage much but with these temps, good luck

voltage killer there is no point for killing cpu with that voltage just for 4ghz as u dont use i bet all 4ghz yet anyway.

CPU: 3.6 GHz
Multiplier: 12
FSB: 300 MHz
Bios: CPU v1.30
CPU-Z: CPU v1.23
Idle temp: 34 C
Load temp: 67 C
DRAM speed: 800 MHz

I just wanted to say thanks to omari79 and everyone else in this thread for sharing how overclocking experience, as it's helped me a great deal.

You are most welcome mate, nice overclock

But your CPU is bottlenecked by your RAM at this point, just buy another 1x2GB Kingston RAM of the same

1- Brand
2- serial number
3- speed

and run 2x2GB in dual channel mode, your CPU and operating system will perform much better.

why,

the reason for that is @ 1x2GB your DRAM can only provide 6GB/s of bandwidth while your CPU needs 11GB/s of bandwidth @ 3.6Ghz so buying a second DRAM stick and running it in dual channel mode with the DRAM stick you already have will provide your CPU with 12.5GB/s of bandwidth and allow it to perform at its full potential
