Very cool. I have a large tape deck somewhere, but no modding skills.

And I like your name

Love it! Great how you managed to keep it looking relatively un-modded. Especially dig the little details like the USB ports.

Woah! That's a flashy boombox! Awesome. This deck matches my radio tuner and amp I have - so when it retires from gaming I'll use it as an HTPC in my living room, no one will know...

One of the greatest object mods I've seen. And yeah jj_sky's boombox was awesome too but I don't think you could have gotten away with all the flash and fans he added to his. The tape deck is just not made for that type of mod. So kudos to a super adaptation of all but a few buttons and not messing up the original finish which must have taken a lot of effort not to scratch or mar.

I appreciate a great deal of dedication as shown by your 200 hours used that I have no doubt you used (I keep a time card). And yes, one does need over 200 hours to make any mod bodacious!

Excellent job and hoping other appreciate it as well. Best of luck!

Cheers and Saludos

P.D. This level of detail should have gotten a a bump up in category. Any warnings about that?

I really like that! I'm guessing that's gonna be nestled away somewhere in a media cabinet? Sure looks like it belongs there.

Great work!

@ Papang, thanks I appreciate it! A timecard would have been a good idea.. 1/3 of my time was probably spent trying to figure out how to make stuff fit/work right... but I really have no clue what the total time was since it was over several months! haha. I actually switched to Intermediate several days before the competition ended, but they placed me back in Amateur.

@ Smasher: Dude yeah I can't wait to put it with the rest of my equipment.. it saved me a ton of desk space when I replaced my desktop, so that's where it will stay for now. Unfortunately the rest is in storage in another state Unfortunately I don't have a good picture, but I did find this snippet in an old photo:

haha
