GFX Card Cooling Question

Thread Starter
Will this cooler: http://xoxide.com/thermaltake-fanless-vga-cooler.html

Cool this card well: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102295

I'm looking to overclock farther and I don't have much budget. Also, will it cool the RAM chips? Or do I have to get RAM sinks?

It will indeed cool it alot better than the stock one but good air flow will give best results.

Well, I've got a 3 blade delta fan in there and that pushes a lot of air. And their's also 2 80mm fans by it. But I don't have the stock 1 on there right now, it's an old cpu 1, but the contact plate is scratched up and stuff. (when I say old, I mean a P1)

From the looks of it, I believe it cools the ram too, so ramsinks are unneeded. A low cfm fan blowing on that will really help too, and it's pretty cheap so i would go for it for sure. Let me take another look to make sure about the ram though. One second.

sell your 9600 on ebay and use that money along with the money you would spend on the heat sink on a 6600gt...pwns when it comes to price to performance ratio!

probably does a bad job of cooling the ram...you could always go with a zalman 770 and use the included ram sinks...if you really want better gfx cooling, get a better than stock HSF solution like the zalman, and also get a dual pci fan from here

Yes i believe that it does cool your ram in the cooler u linked to above to
