OK i think i found my Overclock Problem! HELP

OK, i think its my Ram making the bios beep and making prime95 fail. if anyone has this ram or knows what im doing wrong let me know, it runs great at 2-2-2-5 with 2.7 Volts. if i change it to 2.5-2-2-5 with 2.7 volts it crashes my comp, if i up the volts and change to 3-3-3-8 i can run it (this is all at stock MHZ) and then i try to overclock and i get errors, i think all the errors ive got are the ram, idk what is going on, maybe i got faulty modules? i havent changed anything but the volts/timings, am i forgeting somthing? thanks guys god i hope i figure this out!

My board only goes to 2.8Volts, i gave it 2.8 with 3-3-3-8 and 3-4-4-8 and still got errors, the highest i went was 253 at those timings, it should be able to do that, no? wow this is pissing me off i hope i dont have to return this stuff.

then your 99.9% wrong, cause OCZ Plat Rev2 only comes in TCC5 or TCCD

Correct, i have the V1.0 TCCD chips. The OCZ site says 2.9 Volts is the max supported to stay under warranty or whatever, at 2.8 with timings all losened i should be able to get better speeds than 240 shouldnt it? i mean i cant even boot with 2.5-2-2-5 at 200MHZ stable, but i can at 2-2-2-5, what sense does that make? should i return this stuff? i got to 3.6 stable on my crucial memory and cant do it with this stuff... ***?

TCCD doesn't like CAS 3 at all. I'm not sure about 2.5,2,2,5. Have you tried 2,3,3,6 or 2.5,3,3,6? You should be able to get close to 600 Mhz. with 2.5,4,4,8 at 2.8 volts. I'd try some other timing combinations and see what you could get.

Thanks so much, that Cas setting at 2 makes it rock stable, 2-3-3-6 is owning at 240MHZ right now, 30 minutes stable like OMG im FREAKING OUT THANKS SO MUCH!

Edit-So that test failed, i went to 2.5-3-3-7 and that ran for an hour and a half and failed which i really dont get, i mean my brothers mushkin regular DDR400 ram is at 244 on 2.65 volts and 3-3-3-8 timings, this ram i got is twice as much and cant do 240 at 2.5-3-3-7?? seems weird, i saw so many reviews saying they got 275mhz, maybe its just cuase im stuck at 2.8volts with my board? idk, anyway, we will see what happens at 2.5-3-3-8. i wanted to get my CPU up to 3.9 but that might be impossible

Just seems weird i read the anandtech review of this stuff and they say they got to 275 FSB with it, i dont see that being possible nor do i think it is performing all the great considering my brothers cheap crap is doin better...
