some water spilled on my PS3 controller

hey guys i was drinking water last night and by mistake the glass spilled some water in 360 and PS3 remote

i cleaned them both up but now PS3 remote doesnt seem to be working

i mean the sticks(left) is working and the buttons are not responding

u guys think there is any way to home repair it or anything

should i buy a used one?

any advice on what shld i do?

When something gets wet you remove power and let it dry thoroughly.

^ This. I think a controller would also have a decent chance of working.

You might want to open it up and spread the parts out on a towel or something, it will dry out a lot faster and better than just letting the controller sit as-is.

You could try blowing a hair dryer over it for about 5 minutes to try and help dry it. A lot of electronics will work again if you let it dry 100%.

Just a heads up, the battery may die quicker after it's been wet if the power was left on too long.

Otherwise if you don't wanna open it, put it in a jar of uncooked rice.

i spilled milk on my controllers and they ddin't work for a while. let em dry overnight and now they work fine, no problem at all
