G.SKILL DDR500 Extreme Series Voltage...

I just bought this RAM and have barely oced with it, but I am just wondering what voltage I should run it at it for best performance. Not really best performance I guess, just like does it like high volts or low ones, and how high or how low have you used it on.

Well it probably has Samsung UCC chips on it. (no one knows for sure cuz G. Skill signed a non-disclose agreement w/manufacturer) Anyways you should be able to hit about 500 Mhz. at 3-3-3-8, 1t at about 2.8 to 2.9 volts. I wouldn't push more than 3 volts through it though. I've read some really good reviews on that ram. You have made a good purchase.

Well yea, hold on I'll find a review and link it.

EDIT

Check out this review www.madshrimps.be/?action=getarticle&articID=385 These guys were able to get your ram to 500 Mhz. Looks like you got a golden egg. LOL

Yea, so DDR500 or HTT/FSB of 250 x 2.

If you read that review i linked for you that memory maxed out at DDR550 or HTT/FSB of 2 x 275 with timings of 3-4-4-8. Which is extremely good for 1 gig. modules.

As per your question about voltage, I wouldn't go above 2.8Vdimm. There isn't any more stability to be had with those modules above 2.8V. I've got my G.Skill DDR400 at 255 FSB, 2.7V stable as a rock. I've even heard that 2.7V is the real limit on useful voltage, and that above that is unnecessary. Any higher voltage, and you're likely to hinder performance. It even says that in the article. Manufacturer rating is only up to 2.75, right? Good enough for me.

Yeah...I haven't used it above 2.9v and I haven't noticed any difference between that and 2.7v. And I've gotten it stable at 270 but not 275 yet.

okay, That ram is TCCD, following the patterns of G.skill's production.
http://www.techpowerup.com/memdb/
Now, this means 2.9v is where you want to be and no higher on that ram. It should be able to hit 300fsb. To allow it to hit these timmings you must have your ram running 2T instead of 1T which is for performance.
