Let me summarize from what I get from your posts above.
Basically, you are using a Swiftech GTZ + regular watercooling to handle your i7 920. You like to know if the temperature will be better if you use a Swiftech MCW-6500T instead of the GTZ. Right?
If that is the case, I think the answer is 'yes'. Even though the MCW-6500T was designed with Core 2 in mind, it still nevertheless will contribute its share to cool an Core i7.
Since you have used MCW-6500T before to cool your 775, so you should know whether or not you need to waterproof to avoid condensation. If there was no need before, then there will not be any need for an i7 as it produces more heat than a 775.
