That is essentially what I wan't to do with my case, but probably a little more vertical airflow.
The Bottom Right Arrow: Is a high CFM Delta that blows into the vent of the HD 5870, you can't see from the picture I have here, but the Delta is perfectly in-line w/ the vent so that the air is being pushed through there to help out GPU temp. My 5870 OD'd @ 900 x 1300, idles 27C w/ ambient temp of 22C @ load low 40's. With the Delta off (bottom right arrow) Overall system temps rise +2 1/4C. Keep in mind that vertical air rises w/ heat without the forces of airflowing upwards..

Hmmmm... I may have to think about a front intake then...

Currently the holes for the case feet are too close to allow the 3 fans I originally wanted on the bottom, so a front intake might do nicely (I would have to heavily modify my front bezel though, and do something a lot like Bill Owen did on a similarly ghetto case here:http://www.mnpctech.com/mal.html

I'll have to take some time to rethink things.

What do you expect to achieve out of this setup, other than a lot of noise?

Just don't keep trapped air inside of the case

i have a antec 1200 and i have filters and i still get dust, why? Is it the side fan pulling a pressure vaccum? I do keep it clean however. It's annoying how i can still get dust. Makes me think i need to do something to make it STAY clean inside but i guess it's normal. If i add pci fan slots wouldn't that just built up too much air pressure and make everything flow wrong?

but with the thought that more fans is better, I thought about shoving even more into the case with this setup:

Any ideas as to which would be better? My thoughts are that the first one might not get enough cool air to the CPU cooler (which will probably be the Mugen 2), and that the 2nd would cause too much turbulence.

After a little more thinking, I wonder If using the second setup but without the two extra rear fans would be better.

SO MANY OPTIONS!!! I'm open to any suggestions.
I thought I'd make some constructive criticism rather than just criticism.

The problem with proposal B is that the fans are not in very useful positions. For example, the bottom left fan will just be blowing air straight onto the side of the graphics card. The top left card (intake) will just have it's air sucked out again by the top left exhaust. The power supply fan will not be pulling the same amount of air as your fans will be, so at least some of the air will be slamming into a high pressure zone. This will dramatically slow airflow.
Next, the bottom right fan would increase the pressure in this region also, as the airflow would hit the bottom of the power supply and merge with the other airflow.

Finally, your CPU fan setup is slightly inefficient. Because you have an intake leading straight to the CPU fan, you are creating noise rather than airflow.

Thanks for all the input !

I think I've ruled out the second picture. As people have said, Many of the fans would probably not be of any benefic

I think I'm going to go with something very similar to the setup pluke the 2 explained.

Changes:

- Only 2 bottom fans, centered more so that both cool the GPU and send air up to the top of the case. I don't think the air will just stop at the card, as some said It would. The GPU only sticks out half as far as the fans, so a good 1/2 of the air will travel up the case and into the HS, with (hopefully) minimal turbulence.

- Add a front intake fan that will blow onto the GPU and direct more air toward the rear of the case (again, like Pluke the 2 has his case set up with the Delta)

- position the HSF horizontally to blow up and out the top of the case.

- Mount the PSU so that the fan is sucking air from the front of the case (through a hole in the bezel) instead of sucking air from the case's interior.

Tell me what you think!
