WINNERS

Intel 478 skt: leeghoofd
Intel 775 skt: leeghoofd and Ghostleader (TIE)
Intel 1156 skt: Ghostleader
Intel 1366 skt: FtW420
AMD AM3: leeghoofd

Congratulations to everyone who participated. It was an extremely close race in most sections. Good luck to all in the next competition.

Contest will based off multiple benchmarks, using a CPU cap of 4.0ghz for all Quad-core CPU's and 4.0ghz for all Dual-core CPU's [please disable HT if using 2x cores]...somewhat of a Low Clock Challenge, yet Dual's will compete against Quads of the same class. Entering with more than 1x CPU is allowed, however different CPU entries will be treated as a separate group of scores tallied to that user. There will be no 'mix-matching' CPU's in effort to get the highest score. Disabling cores is allowed, provided you run the same number of cores [2x] for all benchies. There are NO cooling restrictions

Valid submissions must have "OCN LCC" in the screenshot, using notepad..along with the proper CPU-Z/GPU-Z windows for verification. Submitting to HWBot is NOT required for this comp..although encouraged ..with the new point system, it is very possible the team will pickup some amount of points with this challenge.

The contest will run through: Jan14th - Feb24th

benchies to be run:

1mi PI [v1.5 or v1.6 ]
1024 wprime -1x CPU thread
MaxxMem
PiFast

CPU bracket for the comp:

Intel 478
Intel 775 skt
Intel 1156 skt
Intel 1366 skt
AMD AM3
AMD AM2+

Having the highest score in a given benchmark will earn a +5 for your overall score. Winning your CPU bracket will be determined by the highest overall score, after all benchmark entries are tallied. Adding all tallied entries per CPU will result in your final score for the comp [same as the timed bench comp, a few months back ].

Tuning for latency in combination with FSB/multi combo will be key to scoring high in these benchies [for any already not aware of this ].

Yeah..it can. I guess we might split the 1156 and 1366 class to make the comp a little more even for the newer sockets...latency will i5 vs i7
