So, first things first, my overclock suddenly went haywire, temperatures jumped 15C higher on the motherboard and processor than I've EVER had them go, and my RAID 0 array came apart. What does this mean? That means that I almost lost the next 10 updates of my work log, basically removing me from the contest.
However, with the help of OCN, I was able to put my array back together, lose nothing. Not sure what happened. As I get further into the build and move the computer into the desk itself, I'll be looking it over to make sure of no major problems with the motherboard.
Moving along... on with the update!
Used a hole saw to make a nice smooth cut on the counter-top (but accidentally scratched it getting the disk of counter top out) :

With the dowel inserted through to hold the desk upright:

Next was raising everything by 3/4" because I didn't plan on the counter top lipping like it does (was covering up the drawers):

More to come!
