Try 1.5v first at 2.5, then 1.55, then 1.6. I wouldn't go over 1.6 with your current situation.

Matter of opinion. I like to start high and work my way up or down accordingly, you like to start low and build up slowly, oposites attract, let's get married.

You cant say your method or anyones method is the "right way" because my way, or your way, he will find his max, and in the end it will be the same result.

I love you,

It's always best to find the individual OCability of the RAM and CPU!
Having the known max stable OC of each is very helpful in the OCing process!

CPU... set the RAM to a high divider so that it will not reach it's instable level while OCing the CPU.
RAM...
Increase the LDT (RAM controler votage) as necessary.
Adjust the RAM's multiplyer, Default is 5x on a 939 system, so as you increase the HTT the HT (or LDT) multiplyer must be reduced unless you chose to use it in "Auto"
Default 5x200=1000
4x for 201-250
3x for 251-333

The RAMs configured overall speed has no effect on the performance.
ie. 4x500=1000 compared to 3x270=810 has no effect on performance.

Tweek note... the over all 1000MHz is a guide line..
Most MBs can run up to 1040 stable and may even run as high as 1080 provided you have known tested stable settings on your RAM!

The life of the CPU may be reduced some through over volting. Only excessive voltage can damage it through exceding the safe temperature levels.
Keep the CPU's full load temp below 50c and consider 1.6v the max on air cooling!
Note... most 939 CPU don't need excessive voltage to OC well!
Many have reached exceptional OCing with high 1.4 to mid 1.5v range!!!

the most important detail in the Overclock process is finding the maximum capabilities of the memory.
Everything is tweaked around the memory....dividers, multipliers, HTT, etc..

I should keep memory thing at 166? (btw is that whats called divider? )
and what should my memory voltage be at? 2.6v is standard isnt it?

YES the memory thing at 166 is the divider, if you put it to 200 it will go faster then become unstable when you OC, you could always put it lower to 133 if you are going for the max cpu. check to see what it is running at (ram speed after your overclock) and then you can adjust it accordingly to the hopefull close maximum stable speed (ram)..........get it?

It cant hurt by putting it to maybe 2.8, you will have it underclocked until you get your htt up to speed so it wont be nescessary till you start pushing the ram. What is your current oc and how is the ram looking speed wise?
