Have you ever seen a single review with the Seasonic 600W in it where it hasn't won? Until I see something beat the Seasonic, I see no reason to experiment with something else. It's quiet, efficient, and rock solid. What else is there to want?

I'd like to read that. Do you remember where you saw it? I'm guessing that you're meaning this review, but not only did the Fortron not "beat" it, they're completely different power categories.

Ya, I've owned several Fortrons and have 3 still in older Athlon Xp machines. They're very good power supplies and I would put them on par with Seasonic, but not above.

Originally I wanted an P&PC but their rails don't have all the amperage I need. I got the Seasonic and I was happy... until HL2 started crashing... again. The vid cards just shut off (not from overheating). I can see the power indicator going off on the computer.

I think I got to get me a 800w Fortron or something...

I honestly don't think it's a psu issue then. Have you seen any signs that your motherboard is acting up? A 600 watt Seasonic should power any system you can assemble. It's been shown to be able to sustain it's max power output for days on end, so it doesn't make sense that a game is pushing it beyond it's limits. If your system powers on, that should be enough to tell you that the Seasonic can handle it because it doesn't drop voltage at even it's max load.

Whatever it is, I am sick and tired of it. I will, as good measure, Memtest for a day, just to make sure. I have reset everything back to stock.

At least I can play HL1... again

I doubt its your PSU but some SeaSonics have been known to be bad, try with just one card for awhile.
