LOL - I tried reinstalling the drivers again for raid off of my motherboard disc and it didnt work. Must of been a fluke. For the record I just did a full virus scan upon boot up.

Let me try these drivers off of abits site - thanks for the link.

OK - its working again.

I loaded up all the new drivers from that Abit site even the chipset drivers. At first it didnt work but then i took out the DVD and then put it back in. BAM! it worked. And its been working ever since. Watched two movies so far.

I am very grateful for your assistance. This just started happening after I did a format of my windows partition because I corrupted a file while overclocking.

I couldnt figure this one out for the life of me. It was a very weird problem - probably the weirdest since I've been building computers. I'm kind of interested in what CyberLink is going to say if they repsond to my tech post. Thank you once again.

OK I think i figured it out - when I lowered my graphics acceleration to "Disable all DirectDraw and Direct3d accelerations, as well as all cursor and advanced drawing accelerations. Use this setting to correct severe problems with DirectX accelerated applications" the problem is fixed and i can play DVDs. Now how do fix this so that I can run full acceleration?
