No surprise that Zotacs are pretty solid cards! I had a 260GTX core 216 from them and it was great!
Love Zotac and love Sapphire!
I looked into it.

Zotac and Sapphire get their supplies from the same source, that's about it. They are both involved with PCPartner.

Vapor-X 5770 here, just put it in last week and am happy with it, gameplan is most likely going to crossfire when I do my rig overhaul upgrades on my break between the fall and spring semesters.

PCPartner is the mother company of both.
They just don't call it Sapphire cause some nVidia fans wouldn't buy an nVidia card from a traditional ATI brand (Cause they're dumb ).
They started the company (Zotac) when ATI's lagged behind nVidia for a while - don't remember the exact series they were making at the time but I guess nVidia had released GeForce series 6 and the ATI's of that time were kind of a failure in comparison. So, to keep making money when ATI's were not selling they decided to produce nVidias. So Zotac spawned from Sapphire.
It's just business.

I've always been a fan of Sapphire. They make great cards and the price is reasonable for me
