Whoa....show us a GPU-Z screen shot. Interesting.

Flash it wrong possibly? What was the link you got your unlock from?

hello!! New to the forums
Having same problem as "BSOD" my 6950 2gb dirt3 edition is being recognized as a 6990 by 3dMark and win7 says it’s just a "6900 series card" .. Tried reinstalling drivers 11.8 and using phyxion.net’s driver sweeper to clean reg,,, then downloaded them again from AMD’s website and installing but same problem. Any ideas what’s wrong??
Cheers

I think your both not reading it right. If you own a 6870 or 6850 your GPU-Z shows 6800 series like example below.

If you have a 6950, 6970 or 6990 it will say 6900 series. Is this what your both reading?

PS - Edited to add : Almost forgot - Both BSOD and cedar.LOVE.amd Welcome to OCN

SURPRISE! That's what Sapphire thinks of their Canadian owners.

I asked a question to RMA mine 2 months ago and I received the same email. Endding up with fixing the problem myself and kissing Sapphire goodbye after 3 cards. I've heard service is not the same in the US so if it's different, lucky you .

I wonder if they ran out of Cayman boards and using Antilles that have been laser cut to disconnect the shaders. They are very similar to each other except the Cayman have one chip and Antilles has two.

In retrospect you may find if this is the case it may be unlockable.

Might be possible that they are using poor binned Antilles boards and handing them down instead of wasting them to make Cayman build and laser cut them.

If you do decide to try the unlock you should go from 1408 to 1536 shaders.

Let us know if you do and your results.

I have the same problem - Sapphire 6950 Dirt 3 Edition - Trixx is showing me Antilles gpu, GPU-Z is showing me Antilles GPU and GPU device ID is 0x671D
RBE is showing me 6990 card...

And I have tried everything to unlock extra shaders with no luck...
