What if someone already have 2? All that's needed then is radiator and bay. Or... what if someone already has the rad and only needs the 1 more pump?

To my knowledge, the cheapest complete WC you could build is around $150 right?

I don't think it'll work in my case though because the 2 pumps I have is an H60 and a Kuhler 620 which probably pushes at different amounts of pressure. But it did cross my mind and I'm actually still thinking about ways to do it. Just to think about something else other than the customers jumping to conclusions that I deal with everyday while at work, lol.

yeah but then you have a pump dragging the other behind it kinda thing, causing unnecessary restriction.

lol^^

did not assuming somebody got 2 x h50 /h80 /h100 or whatever.. but yes.. if he got a rad too this could be the idea of the year tongue.gif
youre right. but otherways 2 pumps would just increase the pressure but not the flowrate?! so a "real" bigger pump would still be a better addition also to have the possibility to add a gpu block too?! my head hurts thinking about building a new wc again ^^

In that case i dont see why it wouldnt work..... mod 2 h50s into one loop, 2 rads - one on the cpu and one on the gpu

hmmmmm... i might have to try this for my HTPC

How would I fill the loop without a reservoir? I've heard about the tub and t-valve methods.

Where did you find the H50 at just 30€?

Thread Starter
There apears to have been some wrong infomation posted recently. I'm currently on holiday so I'm not going to address it all.

1. Does modding a H50 reduce it's life time.
Not in my testing, infact my H50 is still running in a friends pc to this day.

2. Modding doesn't improve thermal performance.
Again in my testing it certainly did, even wth prime running for 24hr, it was still better than stock.

3. You can't fill a loop without a res.
You can, it's not easy but I was able to do it just fine. You'll normally end up with a small amount of air in the loop but that's good so you can allow for expansion of the coolant, hence why there is air in there from stock.

4. Modding a larger rad will increase the restriction and burn out the pump.
I've compared a H50 rad to a Thermochill PA120.3 (360) and the H50 rad was more restrictive and with the tiny flow rate of a H50 pump, i'm doubtful it would be notice able anyway.

I currently have a new H100 and a HWLabs Stealth 360 with me and I'm thinking about modding it and testing. We'll see.
