Well, I did have it suspended with two zipties. Now it's hanging on just one:

See how the fan is tilted slightly? (You can also see how the filter has been accumulating bird dust, but that's OT.)

Hanging from a single ziptie.

There are two secrets here. First of all, the fan is a Gentle Typhoon. The one in the pic is an AP-13. Previously I had an AP-14 in it.

The second secret is the finger guard on the intake side of the fan. That allows it to snuggle up against the SATA data and power cables from the SSD (in the 3.5 bay) without said cables hitting any fan bays.

Simple is best, say I. But as always, the Devil is in the details.

Ahh i gotcha, yeah sata cables are surprisingly vibration resistant so that makes sense. just sorta tuck the fan in between a couple of cables to "grab" it and thats all she wrote. I like simple too. Welp i got plenty of zipties and cable to nest another fan in, so I'll think i'll give your uber simple solution a go. I have a spare 120mm nzxt silent fan and a spare 80mm power-up not-at-all-silent fan. I'm thinking for the top of the case the 80mm may work best just cause of higher rpms, an throttle it a bit to stifle the noise. what do you think?

I think you should leave 80mm fans out of your case. I have two because I use an IO unit in the bottom 5.25 slot. But I intend to swap the DVD and the IO next time I overhaul the case. Then I'll be able to mount a 120mm fan behind the IO unit. I'll still only have two 5.25 slots open in front, but with three open in back there's room for a 120mm fan.

Here are a few pictures of my new build in the Gama case... My first AMD CPU...

Using an old EVGA 8800GT SC video card for now. Looking for a good deal on an ATI card so I can put the 8800GT back into my work PC.

I'm either going to use a windowed side panel for the M59 case or I started working on the original side panel at work and I'm waiting on some smoked lexan to show up at the shop.

The window will be 12" x 12" with a 1/4" thick aluminum frame bolted through the window and side panel with 24 8-32 button head socketed cap screws....

This is my first AMD build. I picked up the motherboard on clearance at Micro Center for just under $30.00... So I picked up a Phenom II quad core 955 processor. And the rest of the parts I have been collecting whenever I saw a good deal on something... Some were left over from old builds or upgrades.

I think the Gama case was also under 30bucks at Micro Center.

It will be interesting to see how this machine preforms next to my Intel quad core machines. (core2quads) 2x Q9400 builds and 1x Q9550 build.

I still need to fire it up for the first time... I've been busy working on other peoples stuff for the last two weeks I haven't had a chance to even see what it looks like powered up.

Where is everyone with CCL tubes storing their inverters? I see where ehume put his, and that might work the best, but options are always nice!

I put mine on the back side of the 3.5inch drive bays. I will try to take a picture the next time I have the other side panel off.

Made some slight changes.... Turns out the board I got on clearance is for a 95watt max cpu... So I ended up running and picking up an Athlon II X4 640 and a board that will work with the 955 that I have for another build later on.

I changed out the CPU cooler to a Xigmatek HDT-SD963 "Loki"

And changed the GPU out for a HD 5450 I found on eBay for a good deal. Its a rather tight fit for everything that I have installed on this uATX board.

TV tuner card, HD 5450, JMicron SATA II controller card for extra Hard drives to be added at a later date, and a cheap Trend Net 802.11N wireless card. Its rather amazing that everything fit, Because every slot on the motherboard is full.

I actually was able to fire it up and get Win7 and all the drivers installed. Along with all the current updates. So far with the OCZ SSD, it seems to be pretty snappy.

Here are a few new pictures of it when its all powered up and running with the side panel off.... I should have the smoked lexan window done tomorrow or Thursday.... I hope I get it done, time permitting at work.

That'll work too. I have a fan controller in a bay up top, so there is already a crapload of wires up there. I'm taking my PC into work today for a quick blast of air and a little wire tidy up. I'll finally take a pic to officially join the club.

EDIT: Please add me!

Well, I was going to say to take me off of the M59 list, but apparently I wasn't there in the first place... :/

I haven't jumped ship, though...only moved to another cabin. I won a Hades in a recent contest they had on Facebook.

They even emailed me to remind me about it, because I missed the post where they showed the winners! NZXT is made of win and awesome, as far as I'm concerned.
