Heres my system

Aspire Cruiser 420 Watt PSU
AMD 3200 64
2 GB corsair platinum
300 GB 7200 Western Digital
NVDIA 7800GTX
Gigabyte k8xn SLI neForce 4 MOBO
Blah blah blah

heres the issue...

no problems at first build...then...for some reason when i turned system on...the monitor would not have signal....i reset the bios...and nothing....

then...poof everything came on....

well this has been happening for months now.....moslty i just leave system on...but if i have to restart or computer gets disconnected whatever....i seem to have this issue....the video card and all fans have power ( i felt the fan on the card blowing ) but its like the system isnt clcying all the way....the USB ports done get power and sometimes neither does my keyboard...

the only ideas i have are a PSU issue or a mobo issue..once it is running it flies !!! jsut cant turn it off...afraid i may not get it up again...2 days this last time

please help

Make sure all your power connectors are solid, make sure it's a clean windows install. Some Gigabyte boards are picky buggers, I had the same thing happen on one a while back, had to keep resetting bios to get post, turned out to be a intermittant power supply. After putting in a new PS it did it occasionaly until i formatted and reinstalled windows

I suspect the PS ... you need atleast 24a on the 12+v rail for that system.

Keep an eye on the voltages ... watch for fluxations. Still leaning twards the PS.
BTW... never go by the "watt" rating alone because it's very missleading!
The 12v+ rail is a very good indicator of the PS's true potential.
You have an X2/7800 etc... a lame PS is more trouble than most people realize.
I can not gurrantee that's your problem but it's a very good possibility.
