Hey probably a dumb question, but I wanted to know if DDR3 at 1600 is compatible with a Mobo that supports 1333, I mean would it just downclock it? My problem is I am sending my motherboard and cpu back because it is not working properly and I need to get something to replace it, I don't want to get the same thing I had before as it was a extreme headache. I would like to use my ram from before though. I need a micro Atx board that supports 1600 ram speed, which is pretty hard to find for something I want. So if I was able to just downclock the Ram and use it on a board that only supports 1333 that would save me some hassle. Will that work?

Yes.
You can always check the manufacturers list of support RAM, but it should just downclock itself to 1333MHz if that's what the board accepts.
Mine supports 1333MHz but has a setting that needs to be enabled to run the RAM at it's rated speed of 1600MHz.

it would almost certainly default to 1333 yes, but on any AM2/AM3/LGA1156/LGA1366 board, the board really has nothing to do with it; it's all up to the CPU, as the memory controller is on the CPU.
