Not sure where to start

I figured here was as good as a place as any to post my question. I have been having video issues, which I have aquired information in the ATI forums. My computer keeps locking up in all of my video games. I have tried different cards and they all do the same thing. I checked my cpu temps and it was only like 43 C after playing a game for a little while. I tried my old card and it crapped out as well. I am not sure where the problem lies because I do not know enough about this stuff to diagnose it. Where should I start? Please any info would be helpful cause I have no idea.

It sounds like a driver problem. You should clean out your old drivers and reinstall the latest ATI drivers. Its fairly more complicted than it sounds; Ill see if I can find the guide on it. It gives you some awsome programs too.

If you used to have a ATi card and installed a nVidia one recently, you have to clean out all your old ati drivers.
Download "Driver Cleaner Pro". After you download it, uninstall all ati and nvidia drivers the normal way you would. Then run driver cleaner pro on both ATI and NVIDIA.
After everything is clean, reinstall nvidia drivers..

Ah! here is the guide. It says its for Nvidia, but it works exactly the same way for ATI. The Program is even the same too.

I reformatted the hard drive and did a clean install for my ATI drivers but no dice. I am getting really tired of resetting the computer because of it freezing on me. What is going on? I am so irritated with this stupid comp cause I just want to play. I am also having a problem with the catalyst control center. I figure there is somthing wrong with my computer and the driver, but no idea what. Please help!!!
