Put your HT back to stock = 2000Mhz

Overclocking the HT link causes instability and reduces general system performance

On another note i have a 500 loop run going...

Did you miss the thread where NCspecV tested it and got IMPROVED performance with higher HT link and a few of us confirmed his findings?

And 500 loop? What ram size?

Post it up then...all of the benchmarks i have seen show degrading or no performance increase gaming/system performance

Ram size...all

500 loops...as in 500 runs of linx

Edit: i found it and all i see are synthetic benchmarks with highers scores

Not a 3dmark fan I take it? Only tests I recall showing LOWER performance were also synthetic benchmarks, but maybe I missed something.

And if 10 loops takes ~25 minutes... 500 will take forever

I'm pretty sure there where a few tests that showed degrading performance when it came to file transfers or something like that but im not sure

And no i could care less about comparing spotty benchmark applications...i am pretty sure it was already proved awhile back in initial Phenom II reviews that you would gain miniscule increases in the likes of 3Dmark and similar apps with HT Link overclocking

http://www.madshrimps.be/?action=get...64&articID=909

All i see are synthetic results so far...thus i shall continue to recommend the HT Link be set to stock

Ok well i have stopped it short for the moment because i have a lan party to prepare for tonight...got to setup two rigs so busy busy

my mobo nb speed and ht link speed are linked together
the only way is to reduce both...
