Intel P3 Tualatin 1.4GHz (512 L2/133 FSB)? - Page 2

[QUOTE=Moonhill]I'm trying to speed up my current computer a little bit with minimum budget. So I'm thinking about overclocking 1300 Tualatin celeron to 1733 or buying P3 Tualatin 1400 with 512K L2 and 133 FSB.

I am running a TUSL2-C Mobo with 512K cas 2 Ram
PIII Tualatin 1400 @ 1700 with stock aircooling had to up the voltage to 1.6 from 1.45 but rock steady idle temp 35 C & under load goes upto 45-50 C, Ati 9200 graphics card. fast enough for what i play. Avp2 60fps @ 1024*768(16bit)
Medium settings

Im running @1700 with my PIII 1400 Tualatin, £70 from a split compac blade server, voltage is 1.6 wont run any lower & must have FC-PGA2 support Mobo

I wouldnt buy a 1.4 tualatin unless you can get it for real cheap. It probaly wont OC much because it is at the top of its line P3 wise. I'd save up for a P4 with DDR memory myself. A 1.4ghz P3 will be pretty quick though, if you just want a quick upgrade.
