i wouldn't say 2.7 GHz w/ no problem. My 3500+ will only get to 2.6 GHz w/ tons of voltage. also its more trying to mess with your ram, or else run dividers and all that crap. if you want to learn how to overclock in bios, there's tons of readme's at this website. plus like every post is about "PLZ HELP ME OVERCLOCK I'M N00B"....

Input these numbers and you should be up and running at 2.6.

237 x 11
vcore = 1.5v-1.55v
HTT x 4
Mem divider 200 (400) 1:1
Mem voltage 2.7-2.8

If this doesnt work, try this...

260 x 10
vcore = 1.5v-1.55v
HTT x 4
Mem Divider 166 (333) 5:4
Mem voltage 2.7-2.8v

look, you need to work your way up yourself when it comes to overclocking your processor. each computer is diffferent. if i were to run tytlyf's suggestion, i would be unstable because my proc needed more voltage to stay stable @ 2.6 Ghz....

Which is why I didn't recommend alot of voltage to start with, you are correct each processor is different. If he has a decent cpu, then a 400mhz increase with 1.5v would be about normal...Start low, then increase.

but in order to know how much to increase it, you need to know where its stable, then where its not stable. i.e. he bumps up to 2.5 and 1.55v, but he's unstable, he doesn't know where stable is, because he didn't work his way up. i was unstable @ 2.4 GHz at stock voltage, but if i just jumped up, i woudn't have known how much juice to give it.............................

That's what the stickies are for, I'm not here to write 2 pages of how it's done, I'm here to provide OC stats to where his processor should, on average, boot up. When he posts to find out if it worked or not, I will provide additional information on how to tweak.

My memory by default is 2-2-2-5, and can run up to DDR430 with those timings. My daily is 2.5-3-3-5 @ 264 2.6v.. 264x11 1:1. I can run up to 295 with 2.5-3-3-5.

Edit: It's DDR400. $150 new.....I always buy the best components for the least amount of money.
