best way to find out if u have any unwanted program running is press ctrl + alt + del click on process then open up google and one by one type all the program running on google search ull find sum website and definitions of the running program if its windows or sum other program thatu have installed or a spyware/ad aware. from that point if u find a virus/spyware/ad aware u can go to ur registry and look for it. i use regcleaner to delete them on my system registry. hope this helps by the way norton usually uses alot of resource specially on start up

Well i already saw your problem, youre using norton, norton is a resource hog, norton will keep your system at 100 useage, norton will eat your memory, norton is no good, use something better such as AVG.

Well, I do have some expirience with AVG from past use...

Btw, is there big (usefull) difference between the free version, and the pay one?

And how is the Auto-Protect system on AVG?
Since, I am rather happy with norton so far, but if it really is busting up my system, then screw it..

I agree AVG is great, uses barely any resources and does a great job too.

I use Avast anyway. Picked up every virus in that list and is free. Can remove all the automatic scanners as well so they don't hog your resources.

Yeah but it does keep my PC virus free, and still lets me run games perfect, instead of locking down and eating my PC like norton would
