im a bf2 addicted head - all other games are for nothing to me now. and nothing gets me more annoyed when im getting stuttering and a bit of lag - then i think its maybe the server - but the ping says im low

i run it on medium settings with a gig of ram and a galaxy 6800gt 256mb
3000+ 64bit amd

and i still get a bit of lag
it could be down to my ram or my hardrive being a naff 2mb cache maxtor ? - the only drivers that would run bf2 smooth was the drivers that came on the disk when i bought it.
i have my card o/ced a bit - oh and its agp as well
so goin by the thread starter that i could run everything at high did not work for me ;-(

2GB of RAM is like... required... for BF2 not to be all choppy.

3000 BF2: 65fps
FX57 BF2: 65fps

3000 Doom3: 85fps
FX57 Doom3: 97fps

3000 FEAR: 41fps
FX57 FEAR: 41fps

3000 Far Cry: 60fps
FX57 Far Cry: 80fps

3000 Quake4: 54fps
FX57 Quake4: 59fps
Actualy overclocking my cpu was the difference between upping the resolution one notch from 600x800 to 1024x768 and the game being just as playable. The frame rates were lower of course, but before overclocking the game was not as fun in 1024x768. The texture setting didn't matter because I only had 1gb of memory at the time.

I was wondering if anyone knew good numbers to set my system for its best OC potential without crashing. Got amd x2 3800 and asus a8n-sli mobo. Email me voltage and mhz for cpu and any other info for OC. preferrably would like CPU around 2.4 mhz. Thanks

MAV.

It isn't that simple... WE can't tell you the numbers to put in, but we can educate you on how to find them for yourself.
