975x now available on NewEgg

Newegg has just added Gigabytes 975x chipset motherboard to there website for a whopping 285.00, i personaly am waiting for Asus's version because their board is layed out alot better with the pci slots not between the pci-e x16 and they give you two pci-x insted of 2 pci-e x4. i was looking at gigabytes board and was amazed at how few ports there are on the back of the board!! for that much money i would expect all the usual printer ports and stuff to be there insted of having to buy an add on card!

ASUS's 975X board is out, just not on newegg.com. The Gigabyte board is $245 on mwave.com. The reason there are so few ports in the air ducts. The motherboard come with the addition ports that go into an expansion slot. That Gigabyte board is very good according to reviews. (I ordered mine )

I have an intel motherboard, and minus the limited OCing features (which each BIOS update allows more and more tweaks ) my intel board is very nice. My next board is going to be the 975X Gigabyte (on the way!)

pauldovi where have you seen the Asus board for sale? also in what ways do the reviews claim that the Gigabyte boards are better than the Asus one.

i dont like the gigabyte board because i have a nv silencer on one of my graphics card and it will block one of the pci slots on the gigabyte board but not on the asus

I didnt say Gigabyte was better than ASUS. I have owned several Asus boards. This is my first Gigabyte. I hope it is a good as the reviews say.

Here is a review of the Gigabyte:

I can't recall where I found the ASUS 975X. I will look around, I think it might of been on froogle or pricegrabbers.com
