I'm going to order a Xigmatek Crossbow soon and thus I'll be reseating my heatsink. I still have some AS5 to use, but since I bought it there seem to be some better (?) TIMs avaliable. I'm thinking about getting some AC MX-2/3 or Coollaboratory Liquid Pro. Which of the three would be the best?
Also can these TIMs be applied this way:

or should they be spread on the CPU like it's shown in some reviews. Is Liquid Pro suitable for my heatsink, since it has some aluminum parts at the bottom? Should I bother at all?
