How to remove write protection from a micro sd Card

hey guys basically i Have a 8GB transcend micro sd card for htc TyTn II Smartphone and i am a bit screwed the phone has 'encrypted' it and i have changed the rom basically the version of windows mobile on the phone and thus lost the encryption keys any ideas how to remove this 'Encryption' ??? help PLEASE

i have tried this lol thats why i need some help it just says the disk is write protected so ??? any ideas and it does NOT have a switch

wow, idk then

This might be a long shot, but maybe you can try a partition manager outside of windows and see if you can reformat it, though that will only work if the computer sees it as a bootable "drive"

no luck =( its annoying me its transcend just noticed on there website that it has a lifetime warranty so might try and get a new one ... i hope so lol will report back =)

Not sure but last I remembered about SD cards... pull out the card. Look at the side of it - there should be a small plastic tab, lever, switch, that you can slide up and down.

Slide it into a different position - that normally removes write protection on most of these things.

This but I have a micro SD card I am able to write to it but I can't get any data removed from it.

windows xp cd to the rescue? Windows xp install will format almost anything.(and 98) Boot a xp install disk with it plugged in. If it sees it thats great and format it DO NOT INSTALL IT. Just press d and the l to delete it and then restart you computer.
