Custom UV paint

okay so i had a good idea for making UV reactive paint.. feel free to do anything different..

What you need
Elmers glue
highlighters (yellow= best effect)
Q-tips
gloves if your a clean person
a wrench/plyers

1) take a highlighter, fill a relatively small container with a small amount.. (its better to fill a small amount with a lesser amount of highlighter rather than a large container with a large amount of highlighter)..

2) bust open the highlighter with the plyers or wrench, pinch the back end an the cap should pop off..

3) take the highlighter ink sticks and either with hands or plyers squeeze the liquid out of it into the glue container. put as much highligher in as much as you'd like it to glow.

4) take either a Q-tip without fuzz on the end or something that wont pick up too much of the glue and stir until the glue is the same color all around.

5) when stirred, take a Q-tip, dip it in and paint whatever needs painting, dont worry about the fuzz coming off it really doenst matter.. if you need a finer brush point twist the fuzz on the end before you dip it in.

6) after applying first coat, paint again (keep in mind the stuff shrinks a tiny bit when drying) until your satisfied with coverage/intensity

7) let it dry for a while.. 1/2 hr 'll do you good

8) enjoy your truly custom UV reactive paint job.

also... if you want to paint later and have a good amount left.. cover it up, it lasts quite a while w/o drying and keeps a good amount of intensity. ive left about 3 fl oz out overnight uncovered and its fine, no drying at all

Try to avoid painting fans also. increases vibration= more noise

and the great thing... if you dont like it scrape it off, comes off with relative ease

A good idea but be careful in what you apply it to as the PVA will act as an insulation barrier and retain heat beneath it.

cheers
