HDD RAID card, which one is best?

Ok guys, I have finally broken down and decided my mobo supports RAID but for some reason will not allow me to enable it for some reason. So unless someone can help me with that, then I am going to need a RAID card. So as far as those go, which company is the best and which one should I get? I need atleast 4xSATA150 ports however if it supports SATA II and is backwards compatible to SATA150 then that is ok too, so basically which one will perform best and is under say....$100?

Wouldn't a RAID0 array be limited by the 33Mb/s PCI bus?

Not really, atleast I don't think so, since most high end systems use PCI HDD controller cards rather than the onboard SATA ports.......
