As you can see this card is ancient, but i would still try to clock it and i need your advice in this-i have downloaded rivatuner v2.0 but i am not shure on which frequency should my card work well......currently iz works on 175/400. Also, is there any way i can unlock some pipelines on my card or something like that so i can turn it in Ti500? I read somewhere on the net that people clocked it on 225/550. Memory iz Samsung 4 ns.

Can you fill out yor profile with your comps specs so we can help you out better. Well I doubt you can unlock pipes on that card and it is old but will run some newer stuff, and heh mabey even try doom3 for kicks. As far as how high to oc it well I can't tell you but just up the core by 3-10mhz and then run 3dmark01 or 3dmark03 (I don't know the rest of your comps specs) and make sure there is no artifacts and reapeat that process untill you get artifacts then when you do just back off by 3mhz or so and now you have an overclocked core. Do the same with the memory and you should end up with a stable safe overclock gf3 ti. I am glad to see one of those because I am a fan of older nvidia cards, and f you could post your before and after scores because I am interested in knowing what it will get.

That computer is so old that it would severely bottleneck a 6600. My 6600LE is CPU limited, and my CPU is a lot faster, and my mobo has 8X transfer rates. If you get any of the 6600 series, you might as well wait until you build a new system.

I know that is old, but not everyone has money to spend on a new PC. I was thinking of putting radeon 9800pro and clock it on XT version, but i don't know how to unlock pipelines on it. Can't see if riva tuner has that option. I clocked ti200 on 190/445 and it seems stable. I'm gonna play some games for a while and if everything works out fine, i'm gonna clock it on 200/500. That is about 20% lower that the highest results i saw on the neet.

There's no pipelines to unlock on the 9800pro. The XT just has a higher clock rate

But why was XT so damn more expensive than pro? Does it have faster DDR or what.........? If i clock "pro" to XT will it work stable and will there be any overheating of memory chips?

It's just got a faster clock speeds. Only way to tell if the card can handle those speeds is to try it really. Many do though

Hmmm...ATI is not really fair if he clocked pro to XT and increased the price of the card. I still remember how expensive it was (i could only dream about getting myself one of those) but now when so much time has passed, i can afford "pro" version because of the really low price. Problem is in poor country that i live in and i can't really afford to burn my graphics card. That's one of the reasons why i have such an old PC. I can only watch as i read on forums how others buy new components every week and some buy fastest card or CPU's every time it hits the market just to show off. Overclocking is the only way to keep my PC fast enough for my needs for a while. I think i'll get 9800 pro in some time after i sell this one (Ti200) to someone and i'll try to clock it on 30% lower frequency than the highest others have acchived on the net . Hope i'll not smell the burning chip after that
