Is my Ballistix the cause of my unstable OC ,,, need help

I have been having issues with my overclock and gaming. I am currently clocked at 2.6ghz ,,,, on my expert board now this OC is dual prime 12+ hour stable tested I ended it,,,, sandra stable,,, OCCT stable, ran SUPER PI 32 and also 2 hours of MEMTEST,,, as well as can get bench marks on 3dmark03,,,,

but when I load into games whether im playing or at a menu or even sometimes browseing the web it will crash,,,, someon at another forum said it could be a bad set of my Ballistix ram,,,, but it only happens when im overclocked,,, even tried at 2.5ghz which the ram is rated for,,,,

not sure what to do

seems your vcore is high enough for the stability tests, but not for games...meaning if your case is closed, your video card is heating up pretty high. And that increases the temp inside the case making your CPU run probably 2-5c higher than the other programs.
Happens to my OC as well, just bump the vcore very little with the DFI. Should fix it.

1.6 is too much for 2.6, take it down to 1.55, sounds like the issue is with LDT/ chipset voltages, what are they at?

Good point
Also... what color slot are they in?
In the SLi-D and DR it seems the Micron/Crucial like the Orange slots even thought most believe the Orange are only for TCCD and the Yellow are for all others!

my Crucial is in the Orange slots to start with,,,,,,,,, and as for the voltages my LDT is at 1.2 default and my chipset is at 1.5 default,,,, I tried uping LDT to 1.3 but it didnt help,,, what is a safe place to bump them to,,, im going to try one stick of ram at a time to see if it crashs now,,, ill let you know..

Is it okay to run one stick of a dual channel kit,,,

I wouldn't hurt to testthe RAM to be sure ... both before and after the voltage adjustments. The Memtest guide in the below articel is great for a "Quick Test"...

LDT... Memory Controler voltage

That is the HTT voltage, not the CPU voltage, so yanno those HTT multis? x4,3,2,2.5,1? thats what youre giving voltage to, so if you arent already on HTT multi of 3, I suggest you do so, also raise LDT to 1.5v and NB to 1.8v and yes its safe.
