Good eye CL I just assumed it was a 50 ohm VR by its resistance measurement from FB and continuity check. Also I noticed they used a 50 ohmVR on the 5870. Not sure how you figured that out but I would like to know how you decided to use a 50k VR, so I can understand how these Voltera IC's work?

Yeah, VD - you were on the correct line of thought, but my data was bad.

I think he's going on a hunch on the 50k compared to the other cards in this series.

Purple is FB point on the face. Red is positive for continuity, but measures 3.3-3.4 Ohms from FB.

But I wrote 3.4 OHMS between purple and red dots.
