Stop n' Shop Nail Polish Remover - Thermal Paste

Thread Starter
Hey guys,

Quick question... Replacing my stock HSF with a Thermaltake Big Typhoon and I didn't realize how much paste was already on the processor when I removed the old HSF. All I seem to have in my apartment is some lemon nail polish remover (stop n' shop brand) "protein enriched"!!!

Anyone think that's fine to use with a q-tip to get some of it off the processor?

The ingredients state: Acetone, water, propylene carbonate, dimethyl glutarate, dimethyl succinate, dimethyl adipate, glycerin, gelatin, fragrance, denatonium benzoate, yellow 11.

Any luck?

I would strongly suggest against using nail polish remover. Those other ingredients will very likely leave a residue that will reduce thermal transfer when you apply your next round of thermal paste. Your best bet it to wait until you can get your hands on some high quality/purity isopropyl alcohol.

Thanks a ton Taeric...

Just went out and picked up some 91% Isopropyl Alcohol and dinner!

Worked like a charm.
