The Cynic in me says, $10,000 is a sneeze for EVGA. They probably spend that much on toiletries each year. Sure makes them look good though.

I wouldn't look at this as charity, more as $10,000 worth of easy good PR. It doesn't really matter WHY they are donating IMO.
