I guess it really depends on which organization you donate through.

no- earlier this week haiti started asking for less relief funds and food. I know it sounds counter-intuitive, but all of the foreign aid being funneled into the country has destroyed their economy. This means that because food and healthcare has become so cheap/free in refugee camps in all of haiti, local businesses and farmers have been unable to sell their food. Its gotten to the point where the overflow of supplies has been stockpiled in warehouses in preparation for another disaster- wasting away. There are plenty of other charities that deserve just as much attention (and need it, too).

True, but that's probably right. Have you seen haiti recently? its not that big compared to the amount of money that has supposedly been donated to helping them. If it all got there that **** would be fixed in a jiff.

You ever seen the army core of engineers and what they can accomplish in a couple of days? They could completely rebuild haiti in a matter of weeks but would that help america? no so aint happinin.

Americans and evil corporations = greed. Seriously do any of you believe that our economy is working to help the poor?

lol all of the comments after you are basically telling people not to donate monetarily

i'd probably send goods if i was honest,

I'd send to unicef but i'd just double check them first

OMG some one sent me a PM that said this is false:

THIS is true I am afraid, america is raping the rest of the globe of resources

Rookie1337 said that its a joke and he laughed so hard he cried. Really man? you think we are helping the people in other countries by outsourcing our "needed" pollution riddled manufacturing to them??

Id rather donate my money to a good cause such as something around children with diseases or children that needs food. Haiti basically milked us for everything when they cant even get up to do anything for themselves. im sorry but thats my opinion on this

Haiti in itself was a massive sham. Over 500 million dollars was donated through the Red Cross and Jay-Z's little fan club, but none of that money is anywhere to be seen. Go to Haiti and all you will find are big water drums abundant on street corners that have brown liquid coming out of them. Don't forget how the rest of the world also donated.

That money is now helping aid drilling for oil for the fat cats. Sorry fellas, you all got scammed, and the poor people of Haiti took the worst of it, because they won't be seeing a dym.
