Keyboard doesn't work ONLY in RAID config screen? - Page 2

It doesn't matter which keyboard I use and I doubt it is a keyboard problem, I think Windows is being a ***** and screwing everything up (sorry, been working at this for over 3 hours!) but now also my POS floppy quit on me and no matter what the access LED will not come on, even when Windows claims to be searching the Floppy drive A for RAID drivers......DANG! Could it be that since I never had a floppy as my A drive when Windows worked, that it is not looking in the floppy drive but in the (empty) A:/ directory??

Don't worry, windows is retarded and you're not the only one who is frustrated right now... have you checked your bios to see how the floppy is set? Cause windows wouldn't know its head form it's arse until it's done installing, 'sides this is a fresh array right? It hasn't yet had the chance to manage any disks. But if you disabled the floppy before in the BIOS...

check the cables going to floppy, I know it sounds dumb, but I had a pin fall out of a molex connector and mad and aggrivated at non working floppy went to "best gougery" and spent $20 on a floppy, only to unplug my old one and see that the pin wasn't contacting. lol

klnospicy, im sorry but I am not the best at remembering about the PMing you thing so just check back here often, although I am no closer now to solving my problem as I was last night looks like first Im going to need a new floppy drive and then I can deal with F6, if you skip the F6 thing and then Windows goes on and then you will get to a screen where you can press S to search the A drive for SCSI drivers, that MIGHT also find RAID drivers for SATA?? dunno since MY floppy is dead lol.

I bought a new floppy and now this one doesn't work either.....could it be that the floppy connector on the mobo side is shot? Also, there is one pin missing from the floppy drive but it was not anywhere in the box suggesting it didn't break in shipping but was meant to be missing? I am not sure, it is the second to last row on the top, if the pins on the floppy drive were arranged like this:

.............................x.
...............................

The x would be the pin that is missing on my new drive that I just bought is this the problem? Also, in the RAID config screen, I get through all of the menus and when I select my chunk size it asks are you sure (Y/N)? and then it doesn't take keyboard input again! I press Y, N, ESC, CTRL+E or anything else I press nothing happens and I have to reboot, what the hell is going on here? This is seriously like nothing I have ever encountered before.

Can't anybody help me out here? For some reason the dang DFI RAID CONFIG BIOS screen is messed up, it will not take inputs on certain screens preventing me from setting up RAID 0, I am at THE LAST STEP guys! All I need to do is press Y to confirm it and I will have a RAID 0 array but for some reason I can't input anything once it goes to the screen where I choose Y/N! GRRR!

remonster i finish my raid 0 set up already.... but it took me 2 days to finish!!

well i forget about the nvidia raid and i used the sillico 3114 (may be i spell the name wrong) and it work fine.

you dont have to press f6 if it didnt work!! it will ask you later during the set up. when it ask you for addional driver you have to type s and than put the floppy in and load the damn driver..!!

the nvidia raid if you use a 16 or more it will have a dll files missing and you will end up Fxxk!!

i used the 128 and it work fine now... so happy.... good luck on yours!!

klnospicy, I did the exact same thing and came here to tell you I used the silicon image softraid5 controller and after the setup I did the "Press S to specify additional SCSI controllers" or something and it worked! Now to play the waiting game for 555GB to format! LOL!
