I'm 99% sure that the UD2H has one slot locked at x16 and the other slot is locked at x4 because it's controlled by the PCH.
Looks like that is correct:
That means it's out for SLI.
Out of the three boards put up for suggestion, I'd probably lean toward the hideously ugly Biostar. That's a really badass board and Biostar has a great legacy with their high-end "i" series boards.
Here's an anandtech review on it, they liked it over the GD65: http://www.anandtech.com/show/2880
The GD65 is kind of meh. I'm not terribly impressed with how its big brother is doing with my i3, so I can't imagine it's any better.
I had great luck with my ASUS H55 board, but H57 is just paying more for native RAID and some other minor stuff you'll probably never use. I haven't seen anyone with one of those boards, so it's a craps shoot. You might just score the features of a P55 board with awesome i3 overclocking on an H55... or it might just suck... hard to say.
just got my i3 with H55M-UD2H mobo can any 1 help me out with a bios template?( i would love to reach 5ghz)
The solution I have, is a sealed and closed loop. It's one whole piece (two parts) and bolts on just like you would any other cpu cooler, except it has a radiator that gets mounted on the 120mm exhaust fan or other areas (top, front of case, etc.) where a 120mm can be mounted. Nothing to "assemble". Just take it out of the box and mount it.
