wumpus, I'm not trying to instigate anything, but I guess I am misunderstanding your statement.
You said you "like your chip working", and, "more than an e-peen 'thing' ", yet you didn't hesitate to run yours @ 5ghz with 1.5v+. Is this the "e-peen" thing, you mentioned; or an accomplishment, I mentioned?
And it may be "e-peen" here, but on other forums (xtremesystems, etc.), folks OC for the thrill and simple accomplishment. (Yes, I used that word again) I guess the difference in question, is accomplishing something, not to fulfill your ego. I like to OC and "tweak" things, for the challenge, not because my ego is so big, and I must have the best/fastest/biggest/baddest anything, because I simply do not.
And in another thread, there was a mention of a "suicide run", and you told the member to just RMA it to Intel. I guess in your statement, you mean you have no stock Intel HSF, to get the RMA from Intel.. ?
On a lighter note, congrats on the "acomplishment". It's well done, and you do
, have an excellent chip.
Happy Thanksgiving wumpus, and to all the folks in this thread. Edited by jdmfish - 11/25/10 at 3:37am
