Thats more like it. I was running 1.2V and seeing mid-to-upper 50s, but my case and cooling is not as good as yours.

Well, if finally got my MOSFET heatsinks that newegg must have mailed directly from China. Decided to make out the stock voltage OC, here's what I got...

Voltage now swings between 1.152 and 1.144 under Linx load (was steady 1.152 until 3.75ghz), yet it remained stable. 55C during Linx with 70F ambient.

That's all she's got though. 175 BCLK or the next multiplier up in QPI and it's a BSOD or error within the first five passes of Linx.
I attempted to up the vcore one notch, which allowed for a steady 1.152v under load, but this wasn't enough for a 175 BLCK and I ended up with a BSOD on pass two of Linx.

Dropped the multiplier to 21x and raised BLCK to 181. Boosted MaxMem benchmark significantly, ran the same time in SuperPi 1M as it did at 3862mhz, and the system is just as stable as before.

And with that I will call it the end for a stock voltage OC.

that's looking nice now!

I haven't read your whole thread, but did you get to 4? Here are some settings I use that may work with your chip.

BCLK: 182/192 (depending on the multi you want to use, i use 22)
CPU VTT = 1.31
CPU Vcore = 1.30 right now, I haven't been bothered to see if it can stay stable at a lower voltage
PCH = 1.20
DRAM = 1.62

Thanks.

I'm taking my sweet time with 4ghz. My goal was to see how far I could push it without touching any voltages and I think I've hit it. I really didn't think it'd even make it this far. I have LLC disabled and I'm hitting 1.144 vcore under Linx load and it's still chugging along without an issue. However, it's cracking 57C at this point and it's only 70F in my house. I know that isn't too high by any means, but I'm a bit obsessive about temps and I need to take into account the 90F+ temps in my house in the summer (I don't run AC 24/7). So I'll be saving up for a WC loop (gross overkill) or an H50 before I push it further. Once I get some better cooling, this chip feels like it'll do 4 and beyond with ease.

Hello guys, im new to this thread, here is my beast

Now i'm gonna post a couple of benchs

4,6Ghz (209x22)

4.4Ghz Rocksolid

4.3Ghz rock solid

and here is my daily 4Ghz ram@1600Mhz turbo 1.24v (1.26 in full)

i can't understand why but i am getting stable frequences only with vcore higher that the ones from u. Are your CPUs more lucky than mine? or is the mobo/bios settings?
I left all the other voltages on auto, except for the IGP volt set at 0.002v.

Do you have LLC on? Are those your actually CPU-Z load voltages or the voltages you have set in the BIOS? (Sorry, if you had CPU-Z screenshots up, I can't see them I'm at work).

Honestly, I think luck has a little to do with it and it appears I have the lucky chip. I haven't seen anyone else get near 3.8ghz without touching the voltage. In fact, it's actually undervolting in Linx (1.144v).

no i was talking about the screens i've seen here at 4Ghz 1.200v or 4.2Ghz 1.23 (even if there's no Linx 20 passes like in my screens so maybe those screens are not stable).
The voltage shown in cpuz is the same as in my bios and i have LOAD LINE CALIBRATION enabled (is that ok?)

Anyway i am quite happy with my daily at 4Ghz 1.248 (1.26 full) ram@1600. Would it be safe as daily use if i set it at 4,3Ghz 1.3v or 4.2Ghz at 1.28-1.29 ?
