Noobie, jumped in at the deep end.

Thread Starter
Hi Everyone,

I bought an Opteron 146 CAB2E 0545 CPMW, not the best chip i now know,
i'm running it on a Asus A8n-SLI Deluxe board with 2 x 512mb Kingston Pc3200 Ram.

The m/board came with a program called AI Booster, i managed to get the chip running at 2.3 ghz at about 32c and for some reason the memory is only running at 333mhz dual, when it should be running at 400mhz.

What programs should i be using to get it to run faster?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Some CAB2E hit 2900MHz
Yup, and they have not had to max the vcore, high 1.4 to mid 1.5v on air!

yea, dont judge that chip until you find it's max. 2.3 is in no way the limit. Expect at least 2.7-2.8, probably more.
To have your memory running (400), go into the bios and the memory divider should be listed under the DRAM configuration menu.
