[Official] Gigabyte GA-790FXTA-UD5 Owners Club/Thread - Page 35

So, I was looking at the supported CPU list for this board. And AMD X6 Thuban is not on that list yet. I know I have been reading around and I have seen other Gygabyte boards being supported already. I would sure be upset if the new x6's are not supported on our board. Isn't this board not more than 4-5 months old?

. . . . Let's just hope Gigabyte will come up with a New BIOS for this cpu BEFORE
it's release, or there are going to be some pretty PISS'd people for having this
mthrbrd already without a Newer BIOS since it's release in what Nov. / Dec. ? ! ? !
( and that one took some complaining from all out there just to get it ! ! )
& i don't think that particular one,( F3f ), is even Official; still like in Beta . . . )

I just send GYGABYTE an email about CPU support. I'll let you know what they say. I am sure I will tossed off, just like any End-user support these days.

Hey guys, I'm back in action somewhat. Currently having to use 3G interbuttz. Updates will begin to flow as soon as I can get myself back up and running here with some decent speed behind Me.

Front page has been updated for those members whom asked, I will scroll back through all the pages to make sure I haven't missed any members from the list.

Cheers guys.

Will the newest AMD x6 CPU be supported in a BIOS update?
This CPU: Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition comes out in a month.

I want to know if the money I spent on this mother board was a waste or not. This mother board is not very old. Just release in Q4 2009.

I would say that it's most likely not. The M4A79T Deluxe is the 2nd best board on the market for AM3.

what are you basing these rankings off? why is the ud5/p better than the asus variants?

i am particularly most upset about my vdrop, with a setting of 1.60 vcore bios, i drop down to 1.54 vcore (shown in hw monitor) and i feel like this is what is hindering my core OC.

i also would like to be able to push my NB to 3.0ghz while having my core OC'ed as well. I can reach 3.0ghz NB with stock core, but only 2.8ghz with core at 3.9ghz and 2.6ghz nb with 4.0ghz core. i am speaking in terms of 24 hour prime stability.
