The board says it will "auto" adjust the voltages for the OverClock... how true is that and at what point should manual adjustments be made??

I belive Gigabyte has its own Easy Tune type software that might work better....
I do use Bios.

Read above.

I Just like to use AOD for monitoring temps, and their stability stuff, as a precursor to PRIME.

There is also an interesting feature on AOD...which is you can tell certain programs to run on certain cores. AMD Profiles or something I wanted to try that out. But all in all, no, never has AOD worked right since I got this board. (this is from a fresh OS install)

As far as using AOD for over clocking...NEVER..It doesn't even read voltage right, and its 'AMD', with a AMD chip set, with a AMD MB, with a AMD CPU and AMD software.

Hi everybody, please count me in!!!

I can´t seem to reach 4Ghz stable, 3.9 is my limit, I will try further once I get my Psu upgraded (550w right now ).

Does anyone know where/how can I download updated chipset drivers for our mb? I can´t find them anywhere . Btw, it´s really SAD to see how a mid-end mobo like 890GX gets frecuent bios/driver updates while ours has been left abandoned in the dark...

Kindest Regards to you all

Are you having issues with your BIOS that you need an update? if somrthing gets lots of updates in my view it means it was not as well developed as those that get few updates..

I think of it as a recall.... items that have fewer recall's are normaly higher in quality...

Agree on that. Only issue I´m having is a no go on AMD Overdrive (using F2 Bios). Altough it doesn´t bothers me since I use Bios OC, I guess it´s a pretty big bug since it´s amd flagship OC app not running on GB flagship Amd mobo.

I hope to see updates where they really matters (Cpu Codes mostly, Mem Compat., etc).

Any tips regarding chipset drivers? Do I have to download the entire Catalist suite?

Regards and thanks indeed for your reply

So, your AOD crashes the OS too? When you try to save any settings?

Yes. With F1 it didn´t even start, with F2 I get random crashes, I did not try F3D yet as it seems worthless regarding this.

Another anoying bios bug is having to wait almost 10/15 seconds for sata ahci drives detection on boot (not on cold boot, just when restarting). I´ve read on some forums that not only our mb is sufering from this, many GB AMD mobo´s are experiencing this issue, specially with SSD drives (timeout can reach 2 minutes in those cases).

This is my first Gygabyte mb, I´ve always used ASUS, and so far I was more satisfied with the earlier. Time will tell in my case...

Kindest Regards to all

P.S: Excuse my weak English

Thanks for that confirmation.

This is my first GB board too. So far, I am NOT impressed with the support on this board.

As far as quality and functionality GREAT board. But Support..

At least they have a Bios for the new chips coming..
